Thyroid Health

More energy.A brighter you.

Exhaustion, weight gain, thinning hair, always feeling cold. Thyroid symptoms overlap with perimenopause, depression, and plain burnout, so they’re easy to miss. A single “normal” number doesn’t always tell the whole story. We look deeper.

Sound familiar?

Symptoms we hear every day

If several of these sound like you, it’s worth a closer look, especially if you’ve been told everything is “normal.”

Fatigue sleep doesn’t fix
Feeling cold when others aren’t
Hair thinning or dry skin
Unexplained weight gain
Low mood or slowed thinking
Constipation
Puffiness or a hoarse voice
Heavier or irregular periods
Checking off more than a few?

Why it gets missed

You deserve better than “everything looks fine.”

Symptoms that cross specialties are easy to explain away one at a time. In Misdiagnosed, Dr. Adam Sewell shows how asking better questions changes the answer.

Not crazy. Not weak. Not alone.
What you may hear“Your TSH is normal.”
What may be going onWhen symptoms persist, a fuller panel (free T4, free T3, and antibodies) can add important context.
What you may hear“It’s just menopause.”
What may be going onThyroid disease and perimenopause often show up at the same time, and each can mask the other.
What you may hear“You seem depressed.”
What may be going onAn underactive thyroid can cause low mood and slowed thinking that look like depression.
What you may hear“Eat less and move more.”
What may be going onA sluggish thyroid slows metabolism. Willpower can’t fix a hormone problem.

Questions

Thyroid care, answered

Still wondering if this is right for you? Start with a few details and we’ll guide the next step.

What tests will I get?

Your clinician decides based on your symptoms and history. A typical starting point is TSH with free T4, adding free T3 and antibodies when the picture calls for it.

What is Hashimoto’s?

It’s the most common cause of an underactive thyroid in women: the immune system gradually targets the thyroid. An antibody test can identify it.

I already take thyroid medication and still feel off. Can you help?

Yes. We review your dose, timing, labs, and other possible causes such as low iron or perimenopause.

Can thyroid problems and menopause happen together?

Often. Both are common in midlife and share symptoms, which is why we evaluate them side by side.
