The physician-guided route

The Baseline™. A structured midlife review.

For when organizing the history, finding the right clinician and repeating your story from the beginning is the barrier. We start with your whole story, use testing only when it would change care, and return a plain-English plan.

What The Baseline is designed to do

Three steps, one clear plan

1. Start with the story

A structured intake captures your timeline, cycle pattern, symptoms, medical history, medications, family history, goals and red flags, the same things the book’s Case File organizes.

2. Use testing selectively

A clinician decides which tests, if any, are appropriate for the question and likely to change care. A fixed hormone panel is not a substitute for a clinical assessment.

3. Return a usable plan

A plain-English explanation of what the information may mean, what needs prompt evaluation, and the next questions or options to discuss, with a defined next step.

What the review covers

  • Your history: timeline, cycle pattern and the symptoms that have been handled one at a time.
  • Symptom & risk review: the whole pattern, plus the look-alikes (thyroid, iron, sleep, mood) and your personal and family risks.
  • Selective testing: only what would change the plan in your case.
  • A physician-reviewed plan: options, including non-hormonal ones, and when to follow up.

Is it right for you?

Who The Baseline is, and isn’t, for

The best question to ask any clinic is who a service is not appropriate for. Here’s our answer.

It may fit if…

  • You have several symptoms that have been handled one at a time.
  • You want a menopause-focused review before your next clinical visit.
  • You value a concise, physician-reviewed summary and a defined next step.

It’s not the right service if…

  • You need emergency or crisis care.
  • You have severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, very heavy bleeding, bleeding after menopause, chest pain, new neurologic symptoms, or thoughts of self-harm that need prompt in-person evaluation.
  • The service isn’t available or clinically appropriate where you live.

In an emergency call 911. If you’re thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988.

Two legitimate routes

Prefer to do it yourself? That works too.

The book’s Act III is the do-it-yourself route: track the pattern, build the Case File, and take it to a clinician you trust. If that gets you what you need, that’s a complete success. Every worksheet is free.

Go be seen.

A structured review of the whole picture, with follow-up until the problem is solved.
